Behind the door

On a beautiful and bright sunny day their was these 2 little girls name Rachael and Emily, they were walking quietly through the forest minding their only business. When they came upon a house with a door that looked like it was haunted.

They happened to look through the windows but it was dark. They knocked on the door. But none answered. Then the door just suddenly opened. It gave them a little fright but they walked in. As they walked in in the house smelt like candy but it was still dark and they couldn’t see anything. Out of the blues candles started lighting up and it was a weird looking old lady.

 She tied up Rachel to her oven and put Emily in this cage. The witch said to Rachel ‘‘turn on the oven really hot’’. With no questions asked Rachel did what she said. Next the witch was forcing Emily to eat candy, but she refused to eat it. After she refused to eat it she grabbed Rachel and was putting a knife to her throat. Rachel grabbed a pan and whacked the witch, the witch stumbled back.




Rachael then grabbed a knife and cut herself free. She set Emily free. After that they put the witch in the oven and said ‘‘is it hot enough for you now’’. Furthermore the witch burned to death, well Rachel and Emily Escaped and never returned. Years later they grew up, and they were adults. As they were growing up they were telling them some of their tips about witches.

Tip 1 never walk into a house the looks haunted , and if you walk and you smell candy run far away. 3 days later in a town their sheriff was trying to arrest a innocent lady claiming she was a witch. But then Rachel and Emily was passing through and told him to live her alone, he didn’t listen so Emily Grabbed the lady. She told the sheriff that if you harm her again you’ll be sorry.

Moreover they were walking through the desert when the say this weird look manchien, they went to go check it out and it was a witch she thought she could escape. They kept hunting for witches so that people weren’t endanger. People called them heroes and they really appreciated it. They Never went to that house when they were little again, they called that place the MYSTERY BEHIND THE DOOR. The reason for that name was they didn’t know what was behind the door. THE END

Immersion Assembly

Dear Prime Minister John Key,

Kia Ora my name is Sheales. I am a year 6 student and I am also 11 years of age. Right now I am attending Pt England School in Auckland. The teachers that are teaching me are Ms Moala , Miss West , Mr Somerville and Miss Lavakula. I am from a gorgeous island of Niue.

The purpose of this letter is to let you know about how tossing rubbish away is affecting our environment.

As I said the problem is people are tossing their rubbish away and it is ending up in our drains and waterways. It is a big problem because it’s affecting our animals and fish. For example when birds are hungry and fly over water, they see plastic thinking it is fish. But then they die because they can’t eat anything else.

What I suggest you do is gather some people to help you organize a group that can help clean the environment, so that the environment doesn’t get any dirtier. Otherwise we won’t have clean water, much food source or even a place to live, or you could gather people from communities to help clean the environment.

I have done some research and I have found that litter that is tossed into the ocean doesn’t just float around it also travels long distances with the currents and winds. Not only does the rubbish affect our marine sea life and birds. The amount of rubbish that is being tossed away into the ocean washes up on beaches, are caught on fishing lines and it can also damage motors in boats.

Explanation Writing - Technology as a Performance Enhancing Drug

Here I have written some ideas based on performance enhancing drugs. Technology can be considered cheating because it is unfair for other athletes. How technology is similar to performance-enhancing drug.
Technology can be considered cheating because it is unfair for other athletes. First technology can make less able and able athlete’s become faster than they actually are. So that gives an unfair advantage to other athletes that are not using technology. Technology and performance-enhancing drugs used to be in the olympics from the beginning of the olympics. For example when athletes are doing sprints they have shoes which have spikes on them to grip into the tracks which can also be called as aerodynamics. Now in our days people are thinking about banning  technology in the olympics because it is the same as performance enhancing drug.
Why is technology allowed in the olympics but performance-enhancing drugs is not. The reason why I think technology should be banned is because it is similar to performance-enhancing drugs. Technology can help athletes become faster than they actually are but technology can also help athletes beat world records. So why isn’t performance-enhancing drugs allowed in the olympics when it’s similar to technology.
Technology can be seen as cheating because it’s just like performance-enhancing drugs but it is different because performance enhancing drugs can do something to your body but technology only helps the outside of your body and how you do
movement.

If I were at the olympics

Every 4 years the Olympic games are held. People from countries around the world represent their countries at the Olympics. They can also show the world what they can do. When the olympics is  being held in different countries. It can actually help the population there for some people to become athletes and for other people from other countries become inspired. The olympics also helps what kind of sports they do.


When Justin Gatlin trains. People like his coach manager and others. Help him set up hyper speed cameras so that when it takes photos they see the structure of how he runs so they can see how they can make him faster.They also train, detrain a little bit and build back up for another championship. Other Athletes do other things like swimming, running weight lifting and more so that they can get better at what they can do to improve.


Coaches, Trainers, Nutritionist, Physiotherapist, Sports Psychologist and many others are trying to find a way to make each athlete become a miller second faster. In order to achieve a medal the athletes use Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths to bring themself and their team to olympic glory. The Technology team take a video of the athletes doing their event and tell them what they can improve and how they can improve it.

When an athlete wins they are Happy Excited joyful but they also cry with tears of joy and they celebrate. But when athletes lose they are angry sad and disappointed in there self that they didn’t win. For Example Usain Bolt won the men's 100m race with Yohan Blake and they went around hugging their supporters. So I hope to be at the olympics one day.

The men's 100m race

The crowd screaming and shouting, their cameras flashing in a blink of an eye. Some of the world's fastest athletes were competing in the men’s 100m race final. At first they were stretching and getting ready. You could hear the crowd screaming and shouting, their flash off their cameras going wild. They walked to their positions. Their faces looked really competitive and determined.

Then they started walking to their starting positions, and got ready to race. They looked down and all of a sudden it went quiet. Usain Bolt did a cross to God to hope to win. Someone said ‘‘on your marks’’ the athletes looked up. ‘‘Get set... GO’’. All the athletes zoomed as fast as they could. Justin Gatlin was leading the men’s 100m race but then suddenly Usain bolt made a come back and came first with the seconds of 9.63 Yohan blake coming second with the seconds of 9.75 and Justin Gatlin coming third with the seconds of 9.79.


Usain Bolt looked happy when he won. He ran down the track looking at all the supporters. After that he stopped and did his winning pose. He got down to the ground and kissed it and he got up. Furthermore Bolt looked back and saw his team mate Yohan. Then they hugged. As they were walking he also high fived his fans and were hugging some of them. Gatlin was holding his flag and looking and all the supporters. All the other athletes looked disappointed that they didn’t win. They all tried their best but that just wasn’t enough to come 1st 2nd or 3rd.

My Artwork & Narrative

                                      My Warrior Narrative.

There was once a beautiful young princess warrior called Siale who lived in a village in the Pacific. Even though she was a princess, she would always protect her village from danger. She was so brave that she would even fight people who were much larger and stronger. Her best features were her loyalty and strength. Siale lived in a beautiful village that was isolated from other villages. It was located near the sea so that the villagers could easily collect and catch food.
One day Siale was talking to her siblings when suddenly out of the blue she had a strange feeling. She dashed to her fale telling her family ‘‘I have a really a strange feeling that something is about to happen’’. Next she told the guards to go to the look out. Afterwards they thought that they had seen nothing, but then they had another look and they saw what they thought were their worst enemies coming towards them.
The guards quickly called out for help and everyone was worried.  Siale's mouth felt dry and her hands became sweaty as soon as she saw her worst enemies entering her village. Terrified, she had nothing to say or do, except face them.  The guards and men from the village were ready to fight.


Everyone stood still waiting for the battle to begin. Then a powerful looking warrior came to the front. Siale looked in shock as she realised that it was her long lost brother. They were going to have a battle but they didn’t. Instead they just shook hands and then hugged. Siale couldn’t believe what had just happened. Now it was time for the village to celebrate.

My Paul Martin Work

Guess What? Well on Wednesday the 22nd of June someone Famous came to our school. But Instead he came to Team 4, his name is Paul Martin. He use to play for the chiefs but then he retired and now he’s creates books. His first book was called The Adventures of Cory the flight of the kiwi, he write this book when he was in france well playing rugby.

At first we had a Team assembly. In the Middle of our Team assembly Paul Martin walked into our class. My Mouth was dry as soon as he walked in I was filled with excitement and inspiration as he was talking. Next I had to say a speech to him based on the words like,we hope you feel welcomed and you are treated with respect on the day and you come back soon.

During the time he was here, he taught me that whenever you want to draw and you don’t know what to draw, before you start it is a good idea to write down ideas so you have an rough idea of what to draw.Then nearly coming toward lunchtime he grabbed a couple of kids and he was sketching kory the kiwi. First he did it lightly and then he was making look realistic. He inspired me about how to draw.

I would like to say a big Thankyou to Paul Martin for coming in and spending time with the team 4 block.He inspired children that day to be confident when you draw.

On a Sunny beautiful day Karen was at the beach because she had  the day off from her part time job as a undercover agent. She had this chip that hand power in it and she had to protect it from a villain named joker.


That day Karen was walking home from the beach when joker came out of nowhere and was asking Karen where is the chip but she never told. After That he kidnapped her. Karen was so frightened that she remembered that she hand her phone in her pocket she rang black widow and the avenger and was telling her about joker. She called back up because she new that joker was so evil. After calling she left the phone on so they can hear everything he says. When joker heard people talking he got angry and took karen away to somewhere else.

He took karen’s phone away and they went to jokers layer. He left his helpers there and black widow sent Hulk to go check out the place where karen was last at. When hulk arrived there he slammed one of joker's helpers against the wall and he told where joker took karen. Karen was so frightened and scared she didn’t know what to do. Joker was hassling her saying “where is the chip’’ she said “I don’t have it I left it at work”. 

Furthermore he started threatening her. Hulk advent truly  found her and they locked up joker so he wouldn’t get the chip. Moreover they were questioning joker saying “why do you want the chip so badly” he didn’t answer so they just locked him up. The avengers hide the chip away so none would ever find it. Karen thanked the avengers so much they said “that's what we do”.

KAPOW , BANG , KAPOOF yes I am talking about comics and comic art. If you're thinking what kind of comics I am talking about well they are Marvel and DC. But First we had a Immersion assembly team 4 made a movie. The movie was about superheroes. The Superheroes were called  Team leader America , Wondering woman , Bat Guy , The Amauteur heroes and Bear Baxendine.

The movie was about all the superheroes bear baxendine was going into a classroom stealing Bobby- Jon’s Chromebook. Next he was sitting on a rubbish bin and the amauteur heroes saw him . So they went to go try beat him up but bear baxendine defeated them. After that Bat guy went to go save the amauteur heroes and  Team leader america and wondering woman went to go defeat bear baxendine at last bear baxendine was in jail.

A while after one of the amateur heroes said to bat guy ‘‘wow bat guy your muscles’’. A while after Wondering woman said ‘‘Eh hmm’’ so then she had bigger muscles then bat guy and he felt ashamed.

Will he save her

It was a hot and sunny day in Australia a girl named Mary was working as a teacher. Her working time was 9:00am - 3:00pm. One day she was exhausted from working so hard Mary was walking home from work well it was still daylight. 

A insane scientist came out of nowhere and took her and she passed out. She was so surprised when she woke up she was in a room full of chemicals , microscopes and magnifying glasses. She said “ What are you doing to me’’ then he said I am Max the scientist. But the one thing Mary didn’t notice was that Max was an insane scientist. He took her to Mt Kosciuszko. 

A super hero named Superman had a bad feeling about Mt Kosciuszko so he flew there. Before Superman arrived at Mt Kosciuszko they were already at the top. Mary screamed for help but none heard her accept superman. Max pushed Mary off the mountain. Mary screamed because she was about to die. Superman flew as fast as he could to save Mary.


He saved Mary in time because she nearly hit the ground. Furthermore she said “who are you’’ he said I am “Superman’’. She thanked superman so much. A few minutes after that she said wow Superman look at your muscles. To be continued. He will continue saving the world from evil people in the next story.

My 1st day at N4L



On Wednesday the 20th of April I went to a place called N4L because me and my friend Paige went to a course Runned by a teacher named Ms Muliaumasiali down at TE ORO in Glenn Innes. When we started this course we had a expert game designer come in and help us. He is a expert because he creates  games using gamefroot. Gamefroot is a online game creation tool.


There was a few students that turned up on the day for the course. Then when the course finished a few months later Ms Muliaumasiali asked the students that went to the course if we could come back for one more day and create another game to pick  2 winners to go to Wellington and 2 winners to go to N4L. So after 1 more course me and Paige got picked to go to N4L.


On the first day me and Paige had to meet at Pt England school and wait for 2 ladies named Vinia and Sian to pick us up. They took us to the company they work at. Next they took us  to 3 people that would look after us and help us create something. Ther were 2 that me and paige could pick from. They were to create a game or a app . The 2 options me and paige could pick was a app. Then we had to write down some ideas of what kind of app we want to create . We both came up with 2  ideas each. My ideas were sports teams and maths and Paige's ideas were a eviorment group and science. Furthermore we bothe wrote our ideas down on a big white board.


We both got 4 sticky notes and we had to stick it on what category we want, we pick every single one , it got down to 3 sticky notes and then sports was out  , it got to 2 stick notes and then maths went out after that it got down to 1 sticky note and the final category that we picked was science we had to pick something based on science and we picked volcanoes. Moreover we wrote ideas down about volcanoes and how they Are formed. After doing a lot of thinking it was morning tea.


For morning tea Vinia took us down to a place called hollywood and me and paige got to pick some thing to eat I pick a chocolate danish and Paige pick a rocky road we also both got hot chips and drinks and vinia brought some brownies for some of the staff, after she brought it we said "thank you so much``.
















When we finished eating we picked off from where we left off. Then we were drawing amazing pictures on what we want our app to do or what it will look like . Probably a few minutes later we had a stand up metting and a few staff came and told us what they do. It was lunch time after the stand up metting. For lunch we had huge pizzas from sal's. Here is a picture of 1 of the  pizzas.


After lunch we had 1 hour left and in half of the hour we finished drawing and in the other half of the hour we had afternoon tea. For after noon tea we just had a little snack like a fruit , musili bar or a little chips. After that they dropped us off home and we had fun and it was a great day.

If you're trying to look for directions to get to Mt Wellington here are some. Mount Wellington is a suburb in East Auckland, New Zealand. When you walk around you will see a plate and it says ow far  Mt Wellington is to One Tree Hill , Mt Eden , Panmure and Glen Innes.

My Volcano Animation



We are learning about volcanoes. I have created a movie showing a volcano erupting. Planet Earth is made up with different layers of rocks. It has a magma chamber , a  core , the main vents the secondary vents and a created. Planet earth has tectonic plates that shift , it causes a earthquake on earth and then it makes a volcanos erupt. After that their is magma that moves up the main vent and through the secondary vents.Then it comes out of the volcano. My NARRATIVE WRITING




In 1844 on a Friday Afternoon at 2pm  Taranaki,  Everest,  Pihanga and Ngauruhoe were fighting in G.I. They were fighting over the place called Maungarei in Panmure Auckland. Mt Taranaki meet Mt Pihanga  in wellington because they heard Everest talking about a place called maungarei that none owned. So then Taranaki,  Everest and Mt Pihanga were arguing over Maungarei.


Taranaki,Everest and Pihanga were all saying I’ll have Maungarei ,  I’ll have Maungarei. Then ngauruhoe came and said ‘‘I will have it’’. Furthermore Taranaki and them said excuse me where did you come from. Moreover ngauruhoe ‘‘said it doesn’t matter where I came from I am going to claim that place’’. After ngauruhoe said that, they all started arguing. When they did stop arguing they started fighting and then maungarei came and said ‘‘none is claiming that place cause it’s mine’’.

Taranaki, Everest, Pihanga, Ngauruhoe and Maungarei Started hitting each other. Maungarei dad came and said I will pick who takes the place Maungarei. He said ‘‘it will be my son Maungarei taking that place’’. Then is was settled. Taranaki, Everest, Pihanga, and Ngauruhoe left and didn’t return. 



Maungarei dad asked if he could turn him into a mountain. The next day a man saw Maungarei the mountain and he  started walking up the mountain when he reached the top he saw a plate which said Maungarei. He was thinking of calling an English name so, he did call it an English name which is called Mt Wellington...
