Rewriting a song

Here you can see that I have tried my best to rewrite a song into my own lyrics it's not that great bug I tried. When I had to rewrite the song it had to be about fitness, the song I chose was all about that bass.

Physical Activity

Do you think it is good to be physically active? I reckon it is because you can stay healthy fit and you can be energetic. Being physically active is really good for you.

1 benefit to Exercise is that it can be fun and social. Exercise and physical activity can be enjoyable for people .Being physically active can really help you enjoy it and relax if it makes you happy.  Physical activity can also help connect with your family and can make you bond more.

Another benefit is that physical activity controls your weight. What I mean by this is that by exercising or be physically active can burn fat in your body. It can actually make you lose weight. You maybe thinking that how can this be that’s exactly what I was thinking. But it really works.

By being physically active it can help you stay healthy and not get sick. If you not being active you can get serious heart conditions and even get deadly diseases. Who would want that right? By staying active you have a high chance of not being sick this is only if you stay active often.

If your someone that thinks that your not active, or doesn't want to get sick or even doesn't want any heart problems then consider these ideas to help you stay physically active, healthy and even fit. If you need more idea or even information then do some research. After considering these ideas you may be surprised on how much healthier you are or even how fit you are. Believe you can do it!!

How can we save moeny?

How can we save money?

Is money a struggle? Money is something that most people have, but the big question is how can we save money rather than just spend spend spend? I am going to tell you how to save money?

One way to save money is to use less power. When you use too much power this causes you to pay for it right? Instead of always going to pay for power you should just turn off the lights , power points, reduce your t.v time & computer time before you think of drying your clothes on a sunny day wouldn’t you rather just hang it. By doing this you can save a lot of money. Then if it does then just turn it off.

Another way to save money is to quit smoking. First of all for adults that smoke out there please read. Did you know that smoking is bad this causes people to die. If you don’t know how it can cause you to die then I can tell. Smoking can affect your lungs causing less breath problems. Many people have family problems because of this they smoke out of stress, it may be hard to come out of smoking but it can really help you to save money. In the end your money for smokes can be used to buy food, clothes and education.

Last but not least make gifts don’t but them. Before you think of buying gifts just make them. By making gifts it can really help reduce the amount of money you spend on buying gifts. If your wondering what kind of gifts you can buy then I can tell you, you can make food like fresh-baked bread or cookies, homemade soap, candles, cards and all kinds of other things. As a result the the receiver will know your actually putting love into it. At first I know you were thinking that it’s easier to buy gifts but you can really save a lot of money.

These are my points on how to save money. If you follow one of these points and stick to it I strongly believe that you will save a lot of money.  You never know a month later you may have more money than you did the month before. Saving money can really help you and you kids in life & in the future.

How to be a good role model

       How to be a good role model.

Role Models are all around us, even though you may think that they are not or you're not, everyone can be role a model. There are many ways to be a role model.

One way to be a good role model is to set an example for the younger kids. By setting an example you should always be respectful of the people around you. If they see you doing things that you should be doing then they will follow you.

Another way to be a role model is to not be afraid to be yourself. What I mean by this is to not change just because other people are around you just got to be yourself. When you be yourself people will see the real you.

Lastly you should always communicate with everyone. When you communicate with everyone they won’t be scared to communicate with you or other people. When you communicate with people everyone can get along.

These are my three ideas of how to be a good role model. If you have forgotten them here they are, Set an example for the younger kids, don’t be afraid to be yourself and lastly communicate with everyone.

Speech Introduction

Here you will see on the 3rd slide that I had to pick a topic to write about. But first we had to start our introduction with a Personal story, Thought provoking question or a Powerful statement. And on the last slide you will see my introduction for my writing.

Persuading an audience to believe my opinion

Hey do you think kids should get paid to go school? If you're thinking yes I agree with you.

Reason why is because without kids the school wouldn’t be operating or in other words there wouldn’t be any school. Yeah for school you need teachers but without kids there would be no school.

Another reason why I think students should get paid to go to school is because school is like a job for kids. So we may go to school to learn but it is like a part time job for us, which we don’t get paid for. Teachers won’t get paid if kids weren't at school. So I reckon kids should get paid half the money the teachers do.

I also reckon kids should get paid to go to school because maybe their parents don’t earn that much money to put food on the table, clothes on their back, a roof to live under and bills to pay. As if kids got paid to go to school it is an advantage to help their parents if their family are struggling.

In my conclusion I won’t have much to say because I have stated all my ideas in my three points. So please consider these ideas as an option

for kids to get paid.


 WALT - Identify features of persuasive writing - 

The Year 8''s are gone the year 7's have fun.

For the last week we have done fun activities in the year 7 & 8 block. The reason why is because the year 8's are gone on leadership camps so instead of the year 7's doing work we have been playing activities. But first we had to get into groups. My group was called Fobalicious. After that we had to pick our leaders. Our leaders were Latu & Troy. Then after that we had to come up with a chant. The other groups names were called Munchies and Churries.

Then after that is was morning tea. After morning tea we did a rotation. The first rotation my group went to was Team building with Miss Judd. First we got some spaghetti and marshmallows and we had to build the tallest tower. Then yesterday we went to truffle making. Making truffles. then the last rotation we went to was art. We had to come up with a quote and then we had to put it on paper.

Today we had a competition of who could stack cups the fastest. But Churries won. The last few days have been cool I hope we do this again.

Independent and dependent clauses

- Identify the subject and a predicate of a clause

Here you will see that I have tried my best to fill out the answers in this presentation. It took a lot of thought and effort to complete this with my panther. My Panthers name was Htet  htet. As I was doing this presentation I learnt about Independent and Dependent clauses and also learnt about what a predicate is.  A Independent clause is a sentence that can stand alone on its own , a Dependent clause is a sentence that needs more information ,  a predicate is the rest of the sentence and a clause is a group of words that contain a subject and a predicate.

Behind the door

On a beautiful and bright sunny day their was these 2 little girls name Rachael and Emily, they were walking quietly through the forest minding their only business. When they came upon a house with a door that looked like it was haunted.

They happened to look through the windows but it was dark. They knocked on the door. But none answered. Then the door just suddenly opened. It gave them a little fright but they walked in. As they walked in in the house smelt like candy but it was still dark and they couldn’t see anything. Out of the blues candles started lighting up and it was a weird looking old lady.

  

 She tied up Rachel to her oven and put Emily in this cage. The witch said to Rachel ‘‘turn on the oven really hot’’. With no questions asked Rachel did what she said. Next the witch was forcing Emily to eat candy, but she refused to eat it. After she refused to eat it she grabbed Rachel and was putting a knife to her throat. Rachel grabbed a pan and whacked the witch, the witch stumbled back.

Rachael then grabbed a knife and cut herself free. She set Emily free. After that they put the witch in the oven and said ‘‘is it hot enough for you now’’. Furthermore the witch burned to death, well Rachel and Emily Escaped and never returned. Years later they grew up, and they were adults. As they were growing up they were telling them some of their tips about witches.

Tip 1 never walk into a house the looks haunted , and if you walk and you smell candy run far away. 3 days later in a town their sheriff was trying to arrest a innocent lady claiming she was a witch. But then Rachel and Emily was passing through and told him to live her alone, he didn’t listen so Emily Grabbed the lady. She told the sheriff that if you harm her again you’ll be sorry.

Moreover they were walking through the desert when the say this weird look manchien, they went to go check it out and it was a witch she thought she could escape. They kept hunting for witches so that people weren’t endanger. People called them heroes and they really appreciated it. They Never went to that house when they were little again, they called that place the MYSTERY BEHIND THE DOOR. The reason for that name was they didn’t know what was behind the door. THE END

This is my practise narrative.

Immersion Assembly

Last term we had a 2 week break and today is our first day back too school. This morning we had an immersion assembly. The theme for this term is Ch..ch..ch..ch..changes. It is based on matter changing in the world , like changing things between solids , liquids and gases. After team 1, 2, and 3, it came to team 4. In team 4 we will be learning about experiments and if they work or not like the famous myth busters do on t.v.

Explanation Writing - Technology as a Performance Enhancing Drug

Here I have written some ideas based on performance enhancing drugs. Technology can be considered cheating because it is unfair for other athletes. How technology is similar to performance-enhancing drug.

Technology can be considered cheating because it is unfair for other athletes. First technology can make less able and able athlete’s become faster than they actually are. So that gives an unfair advantage to other athletes that are not using technology. Technology and performance-enhancing drugs used to be in the olympics from the beginning of the olympics. For example when athletes are doing sprints they have shoes which have spikes on them to grip into the tracks which can also be called as aerodynamics. Now in our days people are thinking about banning  technology in the olympics because it is the same as performance enhancing drug.

Why is technology allowed in the olympics but performance-enhancing drugs is not. The reason why I think technology should be banned is because it is similar to performance-enhancing drugs. Technology can help athletes become faster than they actually are but technology can also help athletes beat world records. So why isn’t performance-enhancing drugs allowed in the olympics when it’s similar to technology.

Technology can be seen as cheating because it’s just like performance-enhancing drugs but it is different because performance enhancing drugs can do something to your body but technology only helps the outside of your body and how you do
movement.
